How do I backup my data from CASST?

The short answer is that if make a copy of the "Data.mdb" file located in the "Data" directory of the directory where CASST was installed. For a more complete answer to this question, see the document: "How to Backup the CASST Data File". Two versions of this document are available.

Can I change the starting date and/or other parameters for the current contract, even if I have "Activated System Tracking"?

Yes, even though CASST will warn you that, "you are about to lock the contract parameters for the current contract, for which there is no undo.", actually there is a work around. In the past there was no changing a contract once it was "Activated", short of deleting the entire record and re-entering it. In Version 2.1, there is a method for making the fields on the "Current Contract" tab available for editing and ultimately re-activating the contract tracking function.

To make the "Current Contract" parameters available for editing, hold down the "Ctrl", the "Alt and the "Shift" keys with one hand and then move the mouse pointer over the words "Current Contract" on the "Current Contract Tab" and click once with the Left mouse button.

For a more complete discussion of this proceedure, see the document: "How to Reset the Current Contract". Two versions of this document are available.
